What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine is medicine that treats the whole person and addresses the root cause of imbalance by supporting the natural healing processes of the individual.  It is the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of physical, mental, and emotional conditions. NDs use conventional diagnostic tools with a broad scope of therapies to educate and treat their patients.

 
Why should I consider Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopaths are primary health care practitioners who take the time to collect comprehensive health histories, formulate detailed treatment plans, and follow up to ensure their patients' progress.
 
When should I see an ND?
The earlier you address a health concern, the easier it is to treat. It is thereforeencouraged to see an ND before your health state is in crisis.

 
Does Dr. Della do meal planning?
Yes, Dr. Della formulates meal plans with recipes if desired. She works with her patients to optimize their caloric intake, fat-carb-protein ratios, and hydration and electrolyte status.
 
How can acupuncture help me?
From her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Della treats conditions including hormone imbalances, constipation and diarrhea, fertility problems, addictions, osteoarthritis and muscle pain, and sleep and stress disorders. Initial acupuncture visits are 45minutes; follow up visits are 30 minutes.
 
I think I may be sensitive to certain foods. Is there a test for this?
Yes. The gold standard is known as the elimination diet which involves eliminating the most common allergenic foods for a certain period of time, and slowly re-introducing to determine the trigger food. Dr. Della also does blood tests to determine food sensitivities, which test for 96 foods. The detailed results show the extent of the sensitivities, and follow-up meal plans are provided.
